Southend-on-Sea Council
Return Home Interviews - Assessment Service (ongoing ad hoc intervention)

Southend-on-Sea City Council required an ad-hoc social work partner to supplement RHI support for their out of county children and young people throughout Children’s Services divisions.

Flex360 were chosen as a partner to support best practice and deliver high quality front-line social work improving outcomes for the children and young people in their care. We were able to establish push and pull factors, identify harm, provide information on how to stay safe and allow professionals to identify actions to help them. The reports provided capture the above and suggest support and actions to reduce risk of further missing episodes occurring. The young people are able to build positive professional relationships with their independent social worker, sometimes divulging information that they have not shared with their allocated social worker. The partnership with Southend’s internal teams certify that the communication is fluid, important information is shared without delay and necessary actions are highlighted. All essential information was escalated to the necessary individuals, alongside their internal exploitation team for further discussion and triangulation.
