Welfare Checks, Statutory Visits and Out of County Visits - Assessment Service (ad hoc services)

Warwickshire County Council required an ad hoc social work partner to supplement RHI support across the various Children’s Service division case-holdings due to the constant increase in incumbent Social Workers caseloads.

Flex360 were chosen as a partner to help champion change and best practice and to deliver high quality front-line social work as part of their improvement programme.

Flex360 have worked with Warwickshire Children’s Services since 2021 completing mainly statutory visits on their behalf, an alliance built on trust of service, quality of work and an abiding professional relationship that allows for the recurrence.  They have permitted us and our independent social workers to build meaningful working relationships with the families we have engaged with over the years. Our independent social workers will use a form specially created by our Children’s Head of Service as the basis for their visit, which covers all aspects of the Assessment Framework, including a separate section for both the child’s and parent/carer’s views, and an analysis that incorporates the Signs of Safety framework.  Where appropriate, direct work is undertaken with children and young people to help obtain their wishes, feelings and views, which is shared with the internal teams. Upon completion of a visit, which we aim to turn around within 72 hours from receipt of referral but often manage this within 48 hours, the completed form is returned to Warwickshire fully quality assured by a senior member of our SWE registered team.
